Building Regulations are general standards for design, construction and alterations to every building. The Regulations are developed by the UK government and approved by Parliament. Before the Building Site takes place, each project must obtain a Building Regulations Approval. Building Control will require a set of Construction Drawings and Details, which will be used by the builders on site, as well as a Structural Report, which will determine the size of beams, columns, joists, lintels, depth of foundations as well as strength of bricks and concrete. We will provide a full set of drawings detailing the requirements under the Building Control Act along with method statements and full building notes.
